What will you learn?

When working with children, we may need to support those who have experienced trauma. After learning about how brain development, ACEs and relationships impact a person, let's take some time to learn strategies to support a trauma-informed classroom. Educators will learn several strategies that can be implemented into all classrooms to help our students process the trauma they may have experienced.

Why Trauma-Informed Education?

Educators will learn the goals of trauma-informed education with practices and examples. There will also be a focus on intervention strategies and ways to build resiliency.

Coping with Stress

Educators will take a deep dive into strategies for coping with stress and learn how to implement these strategies in classroom practice.

Finding Balance

Educators will learn about compassion fatigue and how to balance caring for others with caring for self.
