What is a MWEE?
Learn the four essential elements and four supporting practices of MWEE that combine to create a comprehensive, student-centered learning experience. Participants will be able to look at both MWEE and ELS and brainstorm how to incorporate into their classrooms.
How is a MWEE facilitated?
Learn how to facilitate investigations into local environmental issues, both inside and outside the classroom, to engage your students in the hands-on science learning and bring about the awareness of environmental local issues.
ELS Standards Explorations
Focus on learning more about the specific Environmental Literacy and Sustainability standards included in STEELS and connections to MWEE. Explore the practices, ecological processes, and systems that comprise the environment, including human social systems and influences found within the standards.
