It starts by highlighting the crucial role of struggle in learning, offering essential insights and resources. Participants will discover how to nurture a positive math identity and create a supportive community that fosters productive struggle. The course then provides practical guidance on planning and enhancing lessons with effective struggle strategies and creative modifications. Finally, educators will learn to reflect on and celebrate students' efforts, ensuring their perseverance is recognized and rewarded, making the learning experience both enriching and enjoyable.
